DNR deer meat donation helps nearly 300 local families

The MN DNR and the MN Department of Agriculture, have created a program in Minnesota that allows deer hunters to donate deer meat to food shelves and feeding programs.

Al Ousley with Al’s Butcher Blend on Fort Thunder Road in Perham , is one location where you can donate. He says that last year he had about 20 people donate their harvested deer, which ended up being around 600-900 pounds of meat.
