Maplewood State Park

This park has to be on your next destination list

Maplewood State Park is 9500 acres loaded with a mix of prairies & hardwood, oak & maple-basswood forests, eight major lakes & ponds,  and different trails throughout. Embark on a scenic nature drive and observe the 150 bird species and 50 species of mammals that call this park home. Lake Lida has a sandy beach and large picnic areas for visitors.

If getting in or on the water is your thing, Maplewood offers fishing boats, canoes and kayaks for rent. Brought your own? There are boat docks, slips & mooring buoys.

One of the best locations for camping in Minnesota, the park have over 70 campsites and are open year round. Only four of the sites are available in the winter, so grab some friends & make one big cozy campsite.

Maplewood also accommodates for winter weather offering groomed cross country skiing and snowmobile trails.
