Evansville Art Center opens for 2018 season
The Evansville Art Center and Free Book Lending Library will open for the 2018 season on Friday, February 2nd.
Gallery and library hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by special appointment by calling Nancy Neterval during March at 218- 948-2807, and Karen Powell during April at 218-948-3836.
The gallery exhibit for March and April will include EAC’s 1st Thursday Photo Club’s sponsored annual photography exhibit. New this year will be student artwork from the Brandon-Evansville Middle School art students under the direction of art instructor Theresa Pepper.
Each photo displayed must be framed and/or ready for wall hanging, in at least a 5-by-7 inch frame and photos must not be larger than 18-by-24 inches in size. Each artist may display up to five photos that have not been in any prior EAC exhibit. The photos may be of any subject, black and white or color, and photos must be taken by the artist on display. EAC 1st Thursday Photo Club members will determine if photographs are appropriate for all audiences and will hang the photos. Photos may be for sale and each artist determines the price; EAC retains a 30 percent commission per sale. Please put artist name, phone number, and price, if for sale, on back of each photo, or attach your business card.
Please deliver your photos to EAC between 7-7:15 p.m., Thursday, March 1, when the exhibit will be hung that evening, or take your photos to Evansville Hardware, 119 Main St, between Feb. 23—28, Friday through Wednesday, during store hours: 8 a.m.—5:30 p.m., except Saturday, when hours are 8 a.m.—4 p.m.
